Arashi will not host Kouhaku since they had to appear in JE countdown (or who-cares-what-it-is) yearly, and that they are the main act to attract fans?
It's weird for a whole group to host Kouhaku since it has never happened in the history? NHK should choose an experienced host to support an inexperienced one to get the show smoothly operated?
Arashi shouldn't be the hosts of Kouhaku for 5 years in a row, since Nakai used to host it 4 times and it's rude for a kouhai surpassing that record?
And the newest?
Since Kitajima graduated from Kouhaku, SMAP should be the first choice for the last performer position this year? Any rumor of Arashi taking that position is unbelivable and ridiculous? ("In case it really happens, we would prefer SMAP withdraw from Kouhaku"?)
Sorry, obviously I love SMAP far far far over Arashi but I don't believe in such unrooted guess/arguments. I'm not that naive anymore (I admit I used to be). I don't follow this show (yep, afterall, Kouhaku is just a SHOW, you guys, so, relax!) as long time as someone who like to use its traditions to explain and foresee some unannounced moves, but because so many things against such traditions happened, so I esp. found those analysis pretty unconvinced now.
The most shocking news to me was about K-pop people's appearance in Kouhaku!! I hate K-pop to the deepest of my core if you ask me and someone like that appears in Kouhaku (a giant stage to me at that time) was very ridiculous in my opinion. But IT HAPPENED. From that year, I stopped watching Kouhaku, even SMAP's cuts.
Let be practical! Regardless I am happy or not, as my observation, Arashi will take the Ootori position very soon. Just the matter of time. Arashi's hosting skills are worse than Nakai? Oh, who's saying that? Nakai's fans? (I am Nakai's fan and I don't praise Arashi's skill because *remember?* I-don't-like-Arashi, but I am fully aware that I'm probably the minority). Arashi's influence does not reach the range of Ootori's position? Huh? Which year are you talking about? (it's not 2010 anymore, u'know). If it happens, SMAP should graduate? Well, I think NHK won't let SMAP escape from their hands that easy, while still putting on Arashi the full spotlight.
I don't mention this SMAPvsArashi's fan-war often, because most of the time, it does not affect me. FYI, I hate the so-called SMAP-Arashi's interactions/friendship/collaborations blah blah. Very satisfied that the two groups are still pretty seperate now.
Good side of this boring, well-argued drama: the fact that Arashi is hosting Kouhaku saves me lots of work and time of downloading and watching whole shows. The only year-end music show in my watchlist is Christmas no Yakusoku in recent years. If you have time and want to enjoy music and music alone, try it.
Now, the only reason that I come back to Kouhaku probably is that most likely, Sakai Masato will appear as a member of the committee next year *hearts*.

Lâu lắm không có bàn về tình hình chiến sự thế giới mà thấy thế giới cứ nhai hoài mấy luận điệu cũ rích (mà một vài cái lại còn đã từng bị thực tế phủ định nữa chứ lolz) để gây thị phi cho mọi người lên cơn hưng phấn chơi XD. Rõ là người xưa cảnh cũ, nhưng tâm tình nay đã khác, nên khác hoàn toàn luôn =))))))))))))))
Làm fangirl, nếu có điều kiện, nên tham khảo thông tin từ càng nhiều nguồn càng tốt rồi tự mình đưa ra nhận định, chứ đừng cắm đầu cắm cổ tin theo nhận định của người khác. Kinh nghiệm cá nhân cho thấy sau 1 thời gian tin sái cổ, khi khám phá ra sự thật thì người quê độ nhất là bản thân thôi chứ ai đâu :)). Nếu không quê độ thì chán ngán. Cũng "đau khổ" như nhau á XD
